Tokugawa let you make five Japanese most important ways.

The one is nakasendo.

There is magome in nakasendo.

nakasendo is a way spreading out from Edo (Tokyo) to Kyoto.

Tokugawa stayed at 69 places of the way and made the town which took a break.

The one is magomejuku.

I have a meaning called the inn with juku in Japanese.

I count magomejuku and tsumagojuku from Edo (Tokyo), and it is a post-town of the 43rd and the 44th.

Why would magomejuku and tsumagojuku leave an old state?

nakasendo was the way which prospered in the times without modern transportation.

In 1900's, a railroad was made in the Japanese country.

The transportation of people turned into a railroad from foot, and, as for magome and tsumago which did not go of the railroad, the post-town did not have.

The life of the people who lived in there became hard more strictly.
My ancestors were so, too.

As for magome and tsumago, the outskirts did not have industry so that there was it in a mountain, and, as for the people who lived in here, there was not the income, and there was not money to rebuild a house.

Because the people of magome and tsumago were poor, an old family has just stayed.

Furthermore, after World War II, Japan became the high economic growth, and Japan changed steadily.

magome and tsumago were left behind.

However,

I explain why I became the sightseeing spot like now.

In 1800's, a novelist called "Toson Shimazaki" of the magome native place became famous.
I sent many hit works off in the world, and it was a popular novelist.

The "Toson Shimazaki" wrote the novel which was a documentary under the theme of here magome.

The novel became the movie, and many people recognized the work.

A memorial of Toson Shimazaki was prepared into magome after Toson Shimazaki died.
The people who liked literature came to gather, and, in magome, it was become a sightseeing spot steadily.

Because tsumago appeared in the novel, the people came.

Because tsumago was a post-town bigger than magome, there was the corner where the building of the Edo era was just left and was able to surprise the people who visited it.

When the people who read a novel came in magome and tsumago.
I should have been surprised at there being too old scenery.

Current magome and tsumago are made a sightseeing spot. However, it is not a thing made like other theme parks.
It is genuine old Japan without chance here.
I really live here.
It is not a person of no real ability such as the theme park.

Two ways were made from Edo to Kyoto.

1 is tokaido in nakasendo one more.

The royalty liked nakasendo.

Because the reason is because it did not have to change the schedule by the weather because there was not it in the course crossing the big river and sea because nakasendo is a way of the mountains.

Therefore here magome is the way which was used when a princess marries by a political marriage.
